Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi was born on 27th November, 1976 in Jos, Plateau state Nigeria. Sound sultan is a comedian, actor, recording artist, rapper, singer and songwriter. He uses his music to criticize corruption, poverty, societal ills and bad governance in Nigeria.

Olanrewaju began to write his own lyrics and imitating as far back as 1991 in school parties as he received most of his early-stage experience from his elder brother Baba Dee.
