Suspected Robbers Arrested In Ogun State

On 27th of February, the Ogun State police officers arrested 2 armed suspected robbers at Lagos/Ibadan expressway.

The two suspects, Solomon Aghofure a 30 years old from Delta state, and a 37 year old Emmanuel Mathew indigene of Abia State were arrested during the police patrol team of Shagamu division.

A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, gave report.

”The armed robbers engaged in a shoot out with the police, and one of them had a gun shot injury. The injured man is currently apprehended.

The other gang members escaped into the bush when they noticed defeat. The brave Ogun state police officers searched the bush and caught another suspect.
Although one of the police officers had an injury too from the open fire.

 

On interrogation, the suspected robbers informed the police that their gang are five in number and most of them are from the eastern part of Nigeria. Three of them who escaped were recently released from Otikipuka prison Ogun State.

The state commissioner of police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to SCI state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation.
