Yesterday at Aba Owerri road, Brass and Abia Poly Area went agog as the Students of Abia State Polytechnic protested against SARS OFFICERS WHO INVADED NEW HEAVEN LODGE AND TOOK ONE OF THE FEMALE STUDENTS OF ABIA POLY to an unknown place and raped her.
It is quite a shame that Nigerian police keep disgracing themselves and keep assaulting citizens they were meant to protect.
As we speak, the girl is still admitted in an undisclosed hospital in Aba while the students and all concerned citizens of Abia and Nigeria at large are asking for Justice to be done.
Nigerians at large are calling on the the management of the Polytechnic, Abia State government under the distinguished leadership of his Excellency, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, The commissioner of Police, the Inspector General of police and all human right activists to as a matter of urgent importance, investigate this matter and bring the culprits to book as soon as possible.
Speaking this night with Mr Haruna Musa Garba, a Hausa man who happened to be a friend to the girl, he said “Down in the North where I come from, police have never and can never assault Hausas, they can not even use knife on them how much more, beating and raping a girl, but here in your area, police behave like mad men in the streets, going round and assaulting ladies and harassing guys. He said, this is total madness.
Chidinma as he called the girl only came to see what was going on after hearing the noise and the next thing was they took her away and raped her. They have finally become dogs and should be curtailed by their leadership.
It was because of this silly brutality, insensitive activities of the police that led to END SARS PROTEST ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. YET, they never learnt their lessons instead, they even became worst than before.
Enough of this Police Brutality.
Adequate measures should immediately be put in place to ensure this criminality of Nigerian police in Abia State is brought to book.
Only a Dog rapes a woman. Since members of SARS has proven to be dogs, let them be chained by their owners.
