My behaviour was unacceptable – Will Smith addresses Oscars Slap, apologizes to Chris Rock

The viral video that trended online 4 months ago at the Oscars. We all remembered when Chris Rock made a joke of almost every celebrity in event but only Will Smith family picked offense.

How the popular comedian Rock was embarrassed and slapped on stage by Will Smith. This all happened because of Jada pinkett Smith.

Although some people said Chris was totally wrong addressing and joking with someone’s health, others said Chris over reacted.

Finally, Smith have apologized over his behaviour. This was his speech:

I was fogged out at that point, it’s all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is, he’s not ready to talk. And when he is, he will reach out.

Chris, I apologize to you. My behaviour was unacceptable and I’m here, whenever you are ready to talk.

Also, I want to apologize to Chris’s mother. I saw an interview that Chris’s mother did. That was the thing about that moment, I couldn’t realize and wasn’t thinking how many people got hurt for my action.

I want to apologize to Chris’s mother, his family especially Tony Rock. We had a great relationship. Tony Rock was my man and this is probably irreparable.

I spent the last 3 months, replaying and understanding the nuances and the complexities of what happened in that moment. I’m not going to unpack all of them right now, but I say to all of you, there is no part of me that thinks that was the right way to behave in that moment. That’s not the optimal way to handle a feeling of disrespect or insult.

He also mentioned that Jada didn’t told him to act that way. The rolling of her eyes, have nothing to do with his behaviour.
