Insecurity: Anambra Vigilante and police station was attacked by gunmen

Insecurity in Anambra state.

At Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State Vigilante office and a police station in the community were attacked by unknown gunmen on 9th of May 2021.

Ikenga Tochukwu, the police postman confirmed the attack on the vigilante office was carried out around 7pm.

Ikenga Statement:

“The hoodlums who came with a Toyota Sienna vehicle and motorcycles started shooting sporadically.
“Unfortunately two yet unidentified persons sustained gunshot injury.”

It was recorded that no police officer obtained any form of injury during the open fire. The Ozubulu police station and building is secure and safe.

The hoodlums in a bid to escape, set ablaze a Toyota Corolla parked not very far from the station.

Ikenga Tochukwu added
Investigation is ongoing and efforts are in top gear to arrest the hoodlums. However, normalcy has been restored in the area.”
