Ghana: Christ Embassy Church Under Investigation

Reports received. Christ Embassy Ghana is being investigated by the Ghanaian Police. This was caused by a crowded event, breaching the COVID-19 protocol in Ghana as well as the West African country.

On April 30, 2021, the church was filled with thousands of members.

Reason for gathering: “Pneumatic Night”.

A program organized by the church. And videos shared online showed that the venue was filled to the brim. Because of the videos, the Ghana police service have started investigating.

In a statement released by the Ghana Police Service, Christ Embassy Ghana was accused of not following the COVID-19 protocols. And this is a crime. The police said not obeying law is a crime.
Currently, the Fantasy Dome is closed down. The church too may be prosecuted if found guilty after a police investigation.

 Christ Embassy Youth Church “Pneumatic Night”. The Police is investigating an alleged gathering by the Christ Embassy Church at Trade Fair Centre Accra on Friday, April 30, 2021, in flagrant disregard of COVID-19 protocols putting the entire country at risk of spreading COVID-19. The Police did not provide security for the said event and warns that those who breached the law will face the law.
